Seasonal: Crocker Park Express Train Conductor/Train Driver

Do you enjoy being outside and working with kids? Helping customers find where they are going? Promoting activities and events? If so, the role of Crocker Park Express Conductor is the job for you! This role is responsible for driving the Train around Crocker Park through the East and West Parks on Crocker Park Blvd, supporting our Music in the Park performers on site, and providing a great customer experience. Crocker Park Express Train Conductors may also be asked general directional questions and should help guests find their way, when possible, with a smile.

Responsibilities

• Must have great customer service and enjoy working with kids and families
• Operate Crocker Park Express Train (driven just like a riding lawn mower)
• Manage and maintain the train for your whole shift, including keeping it clean of trash, making sure all parts are working properly and the safety of the train is not compromised
• Clean every train car between each train ride
• Perform routine vehicle checks and contacting the Marketing & Event Assistant if you have any questions/concerns
• Collect payment using the Clover POS system (cash and credit cards can be accepted)
• Be point of contact for entertainers for Music in the Park, make sure they get set up okay
  • Music in the Park runs Friday-Sunday
• Take photos & videos of Music in the Park, ensuring sponsor sign is in view and showing people enjoying the concert
• Take photos of kids and families in the train before leaving for a trip; ensure sponsor signage and collateral is in place
• Keep the Marketing & Event Assistant updated on potential weather issues and keep in communication about weather at Crocker Park if necessary
• Clean up food area when slow of any trash or debris – ensure area looks presentable
• Offer a fun and exciting experience for the families who ride the train
• Keep track of money and Clover transaction machine while on duty
• Must have a valid driver license and complete a background check prior to hiring
