Construction Estimator - Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Creative Self-Starter: Capable of initiating tasks and working independently with minimal supervision.
• Inquisitive Nature: Demonstrates curiosity and eagerness to understand technical aspects of construction projects.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with interpreting and analyzing technical documents including Civil, Architectural, Structural, and Mechanical Plans and Specifications.
• Construction Knowledge: Understanding of general construction systems and structures, as well as the order of construction operations.
• Field Experience: Previous experience in a construction-related field is preferred.
• Quantity Take-offs: Ability to perform accurate quantity take-offs from construction plans.
• Writing Skills: Proficiency in writing Scopes of Work, Requests for Information (RFIs), Proposals, Clarifications, and Exclusions.
• Contract Review: Capability to review and comment on construction contracts and proposals.
• Estimating and Budgeting: Experience in plan and specification estimating and budget preparation, as well as conceptual estimating.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, Bluebeam Revu, ProCore, and other relevant bidding and estimating software.
• Travel: Local and regional travel requires dependable transportation. Occasional out of town travel with overnight stays required.
• Requirements: In-person, in-office required.
