Maintenance Technician

Department: Residential Operations
Location: Brooklyn, OH

Stark Living is seeking a full-time, experienced Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance teams at one of our resident-focused and top-of-class communities.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Timely completion of work orders

• Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repairs

• Perform preventative maintenance of units, grounds, and amenities

• Conduct daily community walk and inspection to ensure community standards are being met. Report safety hazards, damage, security concerns, or any other cause for concern to Property Manager.

• Communicate with Property Manager and front of house team when appropriate

• Make ready apartments with attention to detail

• Grounds & general labor duties as assigned

• Work with outside vendors to facilitate completion of work, communicating expectations and following up upon completion

• Add value to maintenance department by fulfilling individual role in community’s Maintenance Program

• Respond to after-hours and weekend emergencies on an on-call basis

• Assist with contract services vendors when necessary.

• Assist in administrative duties when assigned

• Provide excellent customer service to ensure highest level of resident satisfaction

• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements must have knowledge in the following areas:

• Previous property maintenance experience preferred

• Customer service & team-oriented mindset

• Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, HVAC and trade knowledge is preferred

• Must have a High School Diploma

• Must be detail oriented, organized, and dependable

• Physical ability to lift and operate heavy equipment/materials

Additional Information:

• Emergency on-call responsibility rotated weekly

• Dress code varies by community – branded clothing provided

Required Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

• Must possess a valid Driver's License and have reliable transportation

• Applicable trade certification(s) preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive compensation based on experience level
